IIT KGP: DC++
Does anybody know download speed of net connection at IIT KGP...?? (KGP = Kharagpur)
It's around 10 MBits/sec for LAN and around 500KBps for regular internet and it's all because of the 2.3GBits network that forms the backbone of all the PC's in IIT KGP.
Almost all of the PC's in IIT are connected to each other by a widespread LAN network and each PC having it's unique IP adress. The users can share there data via LAN using a software called DC++.
DC++ is a free peer to peer file sharing software.
Now there are many DC++ softwares launched which include:
1) ++V
2) Apex DC++
3) Strg DC++
